Client Interview with Elyse
Hello!
Today I am thrilled to share an interview I had with one of my clients and dear friends, Elyse. Elyse and I met when she was a long term substitute in my school. We bonded right away over teaching and our children. She is an absolutely wonderful teacher and mom and an even better human.
I’ve been fortunate enough that Elyse has hired me for many sessions throughout the years for her family. I’m excited to share her experience with EK Photography with you today because I know many of you reading are also moms with children and families, just like Elyse.
What kind of sessions have you had with EK Photography?
My family has had multiple family sessions (taking place in summer and fall), a newborn session within our home setting, and a first birthday/milestone session.
What were you looking for in a photographer and what made you choose EK Photography for your session?
My goal has always been to find a photographer who would grow with our family. I wanted someone who was personable, made us all feel comfortable in front of a camera, and who captured real moments, not just staged ones. EK has done all of the above for us since the moment we began working with her. We love that EK has been a part of so many of our milestones. I am grateful that my family has had the privilege of growing over the years through EK's lens.
What were your expectations when booking a session in regards to client experience? Did EK Photography meet or exceed your expectations?
My main expectation was to find a photographer who would make myself and my family feel comfortable in front of a camera. I did not want our session to feel forced, but rather "natural". With that being said, EK has exceeded our expectations. EK ensures that all members of my family always feel comfortable within a natural setting in front of her camera. To take it a step further, EK has specifically formed such a positive bond with my family that it’s made it so easy to be natural and to not feel as if any of our sessions are forced.
What were you most surprised by in your experience with EK Photography?
When I was first referred to EK by a colleague of both of ours, I never anticipated the relationship we formed just from one session. From our very first family session with one child to our most recent family session with two children, EK has formed a professional and personal bond with my family. The bond with my children does not completely surprise me due to her educational teaching background. She is simply incredible working with children and that certainly is a huge benefit when attempting to capture moments with toddlers who may not always be cooperative.
Would you recommend EK Photography to others? Why or why not?
EK demonstrates the utmost professional experience from start to finish with each and every session. I have and will continue to recommend EK Photography to any individual who is in search of a professional photographer. First, she always communicates effectively via email and phone, providing constant reminders leading up to each session. Additionally, she provides excellent tips (what to wear, how to coordinate, destination options, etc.) for upcoming sessions which is honestly my favorite above and beyond task that she provides. Furthermore, she ensures that the weather/time of day/destination of each session is perfect for what we are looking to accomplish and, if it is not, she will recommend a better time/date/location. Lastly, EK always brings such positive vibes to each session, with a very energetic personality that makes us all feel comfortable and natural throughout the entire session.
